We open the doors of Fairfield Halls for free community showcases that put Croydon’s residents centre stage.
Celebrating the incredible talent across the borough, our showcases give amateur and grassroots arts groups the chance to perform, exhibit and share their work with the wider community.
Since 2023, we’ve welcomed over our 600 performers to our showcase stages. We’ve seen a huge range of performances including steel pans, face painting, gospel choirs, and even an animatronic polar bear.
We believe culture should be accessible to everyone, so all of our showcases are completely free to attend.
We’ve only ever seen things in the main hall, never anything informal in the foyer, but this is lovely: it takes a lot of pressure off the audience over sitting down and being quiet watching something. You can enjoy the music without that added pressure, especially if you’re not familiar with that kind of thing.Audience member, Oratorio of Hope
