We have partnered with institutions such as Sinfonia Smith Square, Royal Holloway University of London and Trinity Laban.
Side-by-side and sectional coaching
We give students the opportunity to rehearse and perform alongside our experienced professional musicians. Students gain first-hand insight into professional orchestral repertoire, techniques, and rehearsal practices. Learning takes place in both full orchestral rehearsals and sectional coaching, allowing students to develop ensemble skills, musical understanding, and confidence within their section.
Mock auditions
LMP offers mock audition opportunities for emerging orchestral musicians, providing early-career players with a chance to practice and understand orchestral audition etiquette, receive constructive feedback, and build confidence in navigating professional recruitment processes.
Samuel Coleridge-Taylor Prize
We created this Prize to support young composers from underrepresented backgrounds, reflecting out commitment to helping more young people build careers in orchestral music. The winner receives a bursary to support their professional development, whether that’s for mentoring, equipment or software, or recording projects.
